Mommy & Me Playtime Classes
Held weekly on Fridays from 9:00am to 9:45am
Mommy & Me Playtime is an interactive class where you and your child can spend the hour playing, singing and learning together as we explore our subject of the week. This theme-based class will include a group time, games, songs, story time, and a take-home-project each week.

BLISSFUL BREASTFEEDING
This class is essential for all pregnant moms who are considering breastfeeding. Spend a few hours with Cathy, our Lactation Consultant and Nurse to discuss breastfeeding benefits and techniques. This class is designed to help parents feel confident and knowledgeable about their decision to breastfeed while and providing evidence-based information and skills to promote successful breastfeeding.

Cathy Heise, RN, BSN, IBCLC, LCCE, FACCE Cathy has been educating and supporting expectant families in childbirth, parenting and breastfeeding since 1980. She currently practices as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant at The Lactation Program, sponsored by the Colorado Health Foundation in Denver, Colorado. At the out-patient clinic she provides in-depth assessment and counseling for breastfeeding mothers and families, shortly after birth through the breastfeeding experience. She has made numerous educational presentations to health professionals on working together to promote successful breastfeeding. Cathy is a Lamaze® certified childbirth educator and is the co-director of the Lamaze® International Denver Chapter, CPAC Childbirth Educator Program. She is Chair of the Lamaze Contact Hour Review and Approval Committee and is a member of the Lamaze® International Education Council Governing Body. Cathy has presented at many Lamaze®International Conferences and local childbirth seminars on promoting normal birth and teaching strategies. She continues to teach childbirth and breastfeeding classes to expectant families

CLOTH DIAPERS ARE BACK!
Basics of Cloth Diapering
Have you considered using cloth diapers but don't know if it is the right choice for you? Cloth diapers are good for your baby, great for the environment, and cute as can be! This class will help you decide if cloth diapering is correct for you and prepare you to be a pro at using cloth diapers. We will explain the differences and benefits of various types of cloth diapers, including pre-folds, fitted, pocket, one-size, and all-in-ones. You will get a chance to see each type as well as check out the leading brands of modern cloth diapers on the market today. We will also discuss how to launder cloth diapers and manage "output". Please join us for the informative event, you won't regret it.

Lisa Van Damme is a new mother and "mom-preneur". After months of researching cloth diapering and testing out many different brands, Lisa decided to start her own cloth diapering business to support cloth diapering parents along the Front Range. Lisa's business, Living Earth Babies, aims to educate parents about the benefits of cloth diapers and help make diapering fun. Lisa lives in Boulder and is married to husband Jeff, mom to Nathan (the cutest baby around) and her 4-legged kids...Mocha (lab) Molly (goldendoodle), Shmoog and Puddin Pie (cats).

Infant Care 101
This informative class is a must for all first time parents! Be prepared to take your infant home, this class will help relieve stress for parents and baby, help you to develop a routine and help you to know what to expect and what to look out for.

BELLY’S NIGHT OUT
A Fun Night To Celebrate Moms

A fun get together for mom and partner or a friend. Come and have mommy’s belly decorated by our professional henna artist. Our amazing photographer, Rachel Kemble, will be there to take picutures of the event. Enjoy mocktails and organic treats, while enjoying a mini spa treatments or learning about simple ways to live eco-friendly.

Rachel Kemble
For as long as she can remember Rachel has always been fascinated by human development, especially the early beginnings and childhood. Children are these remarkable creatures full of life, energy, love and desire to explore the world around them. Rachel Kemble's natural approach and ease with children allows her to truly capture the small details that make each child distinctly unique. Her belief that play is a child's job will allow your child to be at ease during the session and will encourage a genuine exploration of his or her world. Rachel's many years of experience working with children as well as her extensive training in child development contribute to her unique ability to produce images that shine into the heart of each child she photographs.

Amy Haderer
I have been doing henna (mehndi) for years now and love the beauty and intricacy of it. I did henna on my own belly for both of my daughter's births and felt so beautiful because of it. Henna is considered around the world to be a joyful, healing substance and is the perfect way to celebrate a happy, sacred event in your life.

EXPECTANT COUPLE’S 3rd TRIMESTER RELIEF
As you approach your 3rd Trimester, you will realize that your body needs as much pampering and love as possible. We are here to help! In this Part 1 workshop, you and your partner will learn how to relieve the specific, physical tensions that arise during these last 12 weeks. The partner will learn how to help relax and release tension for the Mommy-To-Be by learning a basic sequence of stress-releasing stretches and massages. Make it a date and come unwind before baby arrives! And if you are in your 1st or 2nd Trimester, come and learn the techniques early. No experience necessary.

EXPECTANT COUPLE’S THAI HERBAL COMPRESS
In this Part 2 workshop, you will continue to learn as a couple how to relax and rejuvenate Mommy-To-Be. For this workshop, you will make your own compress using a combination of herbs from Chiang Mai herbalists along with fresh and dried herbs that have been locally procured. This will be a sensory journey to Southeast Asia—not to be missed!! Experience the aromatic wonders of Siamese yellow ginger, lemongrass, & turmeric. We will discuss the healing properties and application of each herb, and you will have a compress to take home with you to relieve your 3rd Trimester tensions. No experience necessary.

Hillary has had extensive training in Thailand, and her practice draws mainly from the Northern (Chiang Mai) style. She is also an Executive Board Member of the Thai Healing Alliance International, and her trainings are approved by THAI. Hillary brings a great deal of experience and expertise to her clients. Her extensive knowledge in the art of massage and unique background gives mother's the knowledge they need to take a new approach in pampering themselves.

The Dirty Secrets of New Motherhood- All the things your best friend forgot to tell you This two-hour workshop will explore the realities of the challenges of new motherhood, including career challenges, identity crises, extreme sleep deprivation and concerns within the couple relationship. Pre-registered participants will have an opportunity to identify areas of greatest interest prior to the workshop.

Jen is a licensed psychologist with a specialty in women’s reproductive health. She earned her doctoral degree in clinical psychology in 2003 from the University of Houston in Houston, TX. She completed her clinical internship at the University of Texas - Houston Health Sciences Center, and went on to complete an additional three years of post-doctoral training at the University of Texas- M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She is also certified in the Domar Mind-Body Program for Infertility and as a Certified Gottman EducatorTM. Jen is currently a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Denver and a therapist for the Kempe Center Post-Partum Depression Intervention Program.

As both a psychologist and a mom to two small children, Jen recognizes that welcoming a baby into the family is a source of joy, but that this transition is not without challenges. She enjoys helping parents-to-be and new parents prepare for and adjust to these new experiences so that they can continue to grow as individuals, couples and as new families.

BABY GEAR 101
From car seat and strollers, to bottles and breast pumps; selecting the perfect gear for your new baby can be overwhelming. This class will empower you to make the best decisions in creating your baby registry and will teach you how to save money by eliminating those unneeded extras. A must attend class for every new parent!

TRANSITION INTO TODDLERHOOD
There is a point for every parent when their “tricks” that used to work like magic are no longer effective. Have your questions answered by an expert in early childhood development and education. This class provides insight into the mind of the young child including strategies for tantrum prevention and management, getting your child to eat, nap challenges, and many insightful tips to ease life with a toddler at home. Class content is designed for parents of children ages 18 months - 3.5 years and is tailored to the needs of each class participant. This class can be taken multiple times as your child changes or grows and is great for both mom and dad!

SIBLING PREPERATION FOR THE NEW BABY
How To Prepare Your Child For Their New Brother or Sister
This class is designed for parents with children under the age of 6 who are expecting a new baby and is recommended during the last 6 weeks of pregnancy. Through this class, parents will gain an understanding of common emotional responses to a new baby in the home as well as developmentally appropriate tools to help children process their emotions and promote sibling bonding and attachment. We will also discuss plans for older siblings during the birth. Class content is tailored the needs of class participants.

Amanda Glenn is a private consultant in child development and provides doula services to families during labor, childbirth, and postpartum. Amanda completed her Masters Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Colorado, Denver with special emphasis in Early Childhood Education & Adult Learning in 2004.

HELPING THE NEW MOTHER IN YOUR LIFE
This workshop, designed for dads, grandmothers, sisters, and friends of new moms, will provide information for how you can support the new mom in your life so that she can be the best mom to her new baby. Post-partum depression, and how that differs from “baby blues” will be discussed, and practical information and referral sources will be provided.

The Transition To Parenthood: Part of the Bringing Baby HomeTM Sections Series The transition to parenthood is a process. Many believe that the day of childbirth IS the transition to parenthood. A pregnancy ends, a child is born- that’s it, right? Wrong! As new parents discover, the transition to parenthood is not simply one day. The focus of this workshop is to discuss the common changes during the transition to parenthood and to provide participants with tools to use at home to build a foundation for a strong parenthood relationship. This workshop is perfect for parents at any stage of their parenting journey- parents-to-be, new parents, and experienced moms and dads. Although individuals may register for this program, parents are encouraged to register as a couple.

PROCESSING PREGNANCY AND PARENTHOOD THROUGH WRITING
Journaling
A Guided Journaling Workshop Research has shown that expressing emotions through writing can lead to improved physical and emotional well-being. We will discuss the positive effects of journal writing, how writing can help you process emotions related to difficulty conceiving, a difficult pregnancy or birth experience or the challenges of new motherhood. Participants will have an opportunity to begin journaling during the workshop and to share with others if they wish.

COUPLES THAI MASSAGE
It's time to treat yourself and your sweetie! Just in time for Valentine’s Day, this workshop, especially for couples, will guide you through some of the wonderfully relaxing, releasing, and nurturing techniques of Thai Massage. Learn how to give a basic sequence of stress-releasing stretches, twists, and massages to someone special in your life. Switch halfway through and receive the techniques yourself. Make it a date and come unwind with your honey! No experience necessary.
